Riding Technique Course in Sölden, Aut

The "Bike Republic Sölden" knows to convince with a wide net of natural and constructed trails. There is uncounted possibilities to enjoy riding with everything between easy flow trails for beginners and challanging Enduro trails for advanced riders. All trails can be reached by cable-car. It is the ideal weekend for riding technique improvements including plenty fun!

Location

Long before Sölden became the "Bike Republic", we had been well aware of the quality of the natural trails there. In the years past, however, Sölden has constructed a wide net of trails and keeps doing so which makes it an exceptionally good location for mountain bike riders. All of this can be found in the magnificent landscape of the Ötztal Alps. The starting points of the trails can be easily reached by cable car and as the trails can be ridden even in wet conditions, everything here appears to be just perfect!

Characteristics

As a first step, we want you to become one with your Liteville. We have a close look at the setup of your bike and directly start optimizing it. During the weekend, there will be plenty opportunities to further tune and improve the settings of your fork and damper. The new settings will directly be applied on the trails, where you will also get personal and individual feedback. We will spend some time on a couple of  key passages to work on your riding performance, yet the riding pleasure and sheer fun is the main goal. We will take advantage of the lifts, yet 400 to 800 meters of climbing we will have to cover ourselves, which is just what Enduro riders do. For this as well as for the descends, a basic fitness is required.

Hotel

The lifestyle hotel Bäckelar Wirt ***S fits! It is located directly at the end of the Teäre Line, it features its own pumptrack and is equipped exactly with what mountain bike riders are looking for during a vacation. The cable car is no more than 70 meters away from the hotel and as it had been renovated only lately, it could not get any better!

On Saturday and Sunday, we offer a varied yet flexible mixture of single trail tours, pure downhill riding and riding technique sessions. There will be a lot of chances to directly apply what we have learned beforehand. It is the overall goal of the riding camp to make you become more comfortable on the trail to prepare you for further challenges to come. We want to lift you to yet another level!

Depending on your wishes, we will address the following topics:

  • breaking technique
  • taking corners
  • steep descends with the right body position on the bike
