The frame
Even in 4X more focus is on weight For that reason all frame tubes are butted several times and built oversize.
For even greater stiffness and durability we use a specially butted, 58mm thick down tube. The 1.5“ head tube can be connected without ovalizing the down tube, for better stiffness.
The seat and chain tubes have been butted differently to adapt best for the individual stress of chain torque and breaking forces. The bottom bracket yoke of the Liteville 101 four cross has been designed as monocoque, meaning it is CNC-machined and welded from two halves. With this we achieve maximum stiffness and tire clearance up to 2.5“ tires. In addition, the bottom bracket has a mount for chain guides according to ISCG-standard.
The derailleur hanger
On a 4X-frame a replaceable derailleur hanger is a
must. Not a standard „soft“ derailleur hanger but our own derailleur hanger made from super hard alloy. With it, we achieve better shifting precision and stiff ness..
The rear axle system
Same as in the 101, we use our new rear axle system. Only difference: the 101 four cross uses a rear axle spacing of 150mm.
Why? To keep a perfect chain line even though you can use wide tires and have a large, stiff yoke.
ATTENTION: The chain ring used needs to be mounted in the outside position!
In the 101 four cross all DT Swiss hubs with 150 mm width can be used. The adapters necessary as well as the axle are part of the kit.
The RockGuard
Especially during 4X competition reliability and durability are paramount. Therefore we adapted the RockGuard for the 101 4X.
The headset
If using 1 1/8" steerer tubes in the Liteville 101 four cross, you need to use a 1 1/8“ True Integration headset. We recommend the use of the Syntace SuperSpin, equipped with double-sealed, stainless bearings. For replacement you can use all standard bearings for integrated headsets. The bearings of the Syntace SuperSpin are press-fitted into the bearing cups.
Cable routing
An important (and difficult) task has been the perfect routing of shift cables and brake hoses because the next gear needs to be there when you need it. Therefore we used an unconventional, dirt-proof routing with few and easy radiuses in the Liteville 101 four cross as well.
